Parking Updates Coming to Christensen Drive and 2nd Avenue Beginning May 15

Anchorage, AK – April 28, 2026 - EasyPark will implement parking updates in the downtown area beginning May 15, 2026, aimed at improving parking availability and providing additional long-term options for the public.

On Christensen Drive, all existing 10-hour parking meters will be converted to 2-hour parking limits. This change is intended to increase turnover and make short-term parking more accessible for customers, visitors, and nearby businesses.

To support those needing extended parking, EasyPark is introducing a new long-term parking area on 2nd Avenue, designated as Area 6. Permits for this location will be available for purchase starting May 15, 2026, offering a convenient option for employees and individuals requiring all-day parking.
