Downtown Market Returns to EasyPark’s Chinook Lot Under New Management

Anchorage, Alaska – March 5, 2026 – The Anchorage Downtown Weekend Market is returning to the heart of Anchorage at EasyPark’s Chinook Parking Lot, bringing renewed energy, community connection, and local commerce back to downtown.
EasyPark is pleased to announce that long-time event producers Brad Erickson and Kristin George, of Absolutely & Erickson Unlimited Events, will serve as the new Market Managers.
As individuals, George and Erickson have over 30 years of experience in event production and management. As a team under the Erickson Unlimited brand, they have been creating concerts and festivals throughout Anchorage and across the state for the last eight years, producing large-scale entertainment experiences, nonprofit fundraisers, and community celebrations that bring people together.
“We’re excited to welcome the Downtown Market back to the Chinook Lot and to partner with Kristin George and Brad Erickson,” said Jeff Read, Parking Director for EasyPark. “Activating our parking facilities with community events supports a vibrant downtown, and their experience and leadership make them a great fit for this next chapter.”
The Downtown Market at the Chinook Parking Lot will feature local vendors, food offerings, live entertainment, and community-focused programming designed to support small businesses and celebrate Alaska’s entrepreneurial spirit.
“As longtime Alaskans, returning the market to a hub of entertainment, food, fun, and Alaskana is our biggest inspiration for taking on this opportunity,” said George and Erickson. “We’re committed to creating a space where locals and visitors alike can gather, connect, and experience the best of our downtown community.”
Market will open on the weekend of May 2nd and will run through Labor Day weekend. Vendor registration will begin March 18, 2026.
