Chinook Parking Lot to Host 2024 Annual Fireworks Festival

The Chinook Parking Lot is gearing up to welcome the community for the 2024 Annual Fireworks Festival, a night filled with dazzling displays, family fun, and community celebration. Scheduled for December 31, 2024, from 7pm to 9pm, this beloved event is organized by the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, promising to be bigger and brighter than ever.

The Anchorage Downtown Partnership has been a driving force in creating vibrant, inclusive community events, and the Annual Fireworks Festival is no exception. With its commitment to bringing people together, this year’s celebration will offer an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.

The festival will kick off at 7pm with live entertainment, food trucks serving an array of delicious cuisines, and activities for the whole family. The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display at 8pm set to music, lighting up the night sky in a breathtaking celebration of community spirit.

Chinook Permit Parkers Alert

The Chinook parking lot (corner of 3rd Ave. & E St.) will be closed from Monday midnight, December 30, 2024 and reopen January 2, 2025 to accommodate 2024 New Year’s event.

If you possess a monthly permit 3rd Avenue parking lot permit (Chinook), we will honor your hang tag at Coho parking lot (if available) while the Chinook parking lot is closed.  

Another parking option for the 3rd Avenue parkers (Chinook), is to park at the 5th & B Street parking garage from December 31 – January 1, 2025. Permit parkers will need to take a garage ticket to enter and then show their permit to exit by calling 297-4471 or push the call for help button.
